WorkHealthy Oregon plays a supportive role to a collaborative, volunteer program linking licensed professionals struggling with substance use or mental health disorders to critical recovery information and resources.
There are two Oregon volunteer peer assistance programs for health professionals:
- The Professionals Recovery Network of Oregon (read a description of PRN here) which sponsors services in many parts of Oregon. Visit the PRN website at: www.prnoforegon.org
- The Nurses Assistance Network (NAN) which sponsors services for licensed nurses and student nurses in Oregon
- WorkHealthy Oregon recommendations to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing on guidelines for alternative to discipline programs (and click here for the newly released NCSBN Guidelines).
